Wildlife in Your Vicinity

Do you live among nature? Even in urban landscape you might have wild neighbors. Let them live in your poem today.

 

You might want to write about the few challenges they are facing today, like habitat fragmentation or scarcity of food sources or any other issue that makes them distressed. They also want to stay safe, like us.

 

These animals sometimes try to adapt themselves to their new situations. If you wish you could write about that too.

 

Or focus on the joy you derive from them; or if you have viewed wildlife in its most intense moments capture it in your poem.

The Eagle

He clasps the crag with crooked hands;
Close to the sun in lonely lands,
Ringed with the azure world, he stands.
