Happy Holidays!
Since some of us spend the holidays alone and quietly, we thought we would offer an open link, for anyone who feels like sharing a poem, old or new.
My wolf-Pup disdained my attempts to photograph him with antlers. It mortified his sensibilities. But he felt rather grand in a Santa hat, and looked quite regal.
We hope that, however you are spending this season, that you have what you need: peaceful rooms (and hearts), people you care about, nice things to eat. Put some music on the stereo and link a poem to share with we renegade poets who write straight through this busy season.
Here at What's Going On, we wish you the joys and comforts of the season, however you choose to spend it, and thank you for the time you spend with us.
Please leave a comment to let us know how you are spending the holiday, and visit whoever shows up for the love of poetry.
I will be here next week, too, on January 1st, for anyone who wants to stop by. The topic we'll be contemplating is how to be good creatures in a world gone topsy-turvy. I'll take my inspiration from the wee pup below. Smiles.
p.s. If I don't appear here in the morning, it means my power is out. We have two more "cyclone bomb" storms headed our way. Trees fall on the hydro wires and it can sometimes take a day - or, worse, days - to restore power. I will catch up as soon as I have power.
