“When you give a homemade
gift, you are giving a part of yourself to the recipient. You can’t do that
with a mass-produced item.”— Mark Frauenfelder

I have stumbled upon this poem ‘Gate A-4’ by Naomi Shihab
Nye and decided this week’s topic to be nothing but Home Made.
Please read the poem.
The word homemade radiates warmth and love just like the poem
above. It’s a world in itself where compassion, understanding, kindness have
made their little homes. May such caring words live long in a world where
everything appears to become homeless every day.
Alan Shepard, the famous astronaut writes, “The first plane ride
was a homemade glider my buddy and I built. Unfortunately we didn’t get more
than four feet off the ground, because it crashed.”
Homemade list can be endless : food, outfits, jewelry, cards, candles,
art and prints and anything of your choice. The list is just a variety of seeds
waiting to be a full grown poem.
Certain homemade things might not be even acceptable and you might
show your dislike for it too. And why not writing about your love and affection
for shop bought things in contrast to home-made items? It’s your choice.
