It has been a few years now since we were caught up in the worldwide Covid pandemic, which was said to be from March, 2020, to May, 2023 (when it was said the public health emergency ended). I'd like us to do some reflecting on that time today.
Your poem might hold space for grief, fear, hopelessness, and loss, but your poem also might consider what small lights glowed in the darkness or rose above the sadness. Did you discover unexpected stillness, connection through distance, gratitude, resilience, or moments of quiet beauty?
What did those days teach you?
What does your heart still carry from that time?
Use imagery, memory, and emotion to explore the weight, wisdom, and resilience of that shared global experience.
If you are stuck, simply think "Time of Covid," and see where your mind goes.
After you have written your poem, link it using Mr. Linky below. Remember to visit the links of others who write. Mr. Linky will be open until Sunday at 8 p.m. Eastern time.
